Walter H. Frey, 79, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte, Fla.

He was born March 8, 1933, in Hackensack, N.J.

Walter served in the U.S. Army. He graduated from Lafayette College in 1955, with a degree in Chemical Engineering. He was employed by Trans-continental Gas Pipeline Corporation for 36 years, and retired as supervisor of gas control. Walter served on several committees for the U.S. Department of Energy. He became a resident of Charlotte County, Fla., 10 years ago, coming from Allenwood, N.J., and was a member of the Lake Venice Golf Club.

Walter is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Camille (nee Cordone) Frey of Englewood; sons, Gary (Laura) Frey of Herndon, Va., and David (Carole) Frey of Howell, N.J.; brother, Raymond (Caroline) Frey of St. Johnsbury, Vt.; and grandchildren, John, Daniel, Emma and Hana Frey.
