Joan Bowman, 86, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, at Tidewell Hospice in Port Charlotte, Fla.

She was born March 28, 1926.

Joan came here from Freeport, N.Y. in 1981.

She is survived by daughter, Joan Jaworowski; and son, Frank J. Bowman Jr. Joan is preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Bowman; and sons, John Bowman, and Gary Bowman.

There will be no services. Internment will be handled by Hungerford and Clarke Funeral Home in Freeport, N.Y. The family is requesting in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation at ALZ.org or any local office.
