Irmgard Augusta Wolfram
Irmgard Augusta “Inga” Wolfram, 90, of Englewood, Fla., passed away peacefully Sunday, Jan. 13, 2013.
Born Irmgard Augusta Dransch in Stettin, Germany, Inga married Adolf E. Wolfram in 1948. The family immigrated to the United States in 1954. The Wolframs settled in Syracuse, N.Y., where Adolf began his long career at GE. After the death of her husband in 1996, Inga moved to Englewood. In all the places Inga lived, her love of flowers was evident. She created beautiful natural flowering landscapes with rock and stone borders, and house plants flourished under her care.
Inga is survived by her sons, Dietrich A. Wolfram and Joachim William Wolfram; daughter-in-law, Katherine Marsh Wolfram of Schenectady, N.Y.; grandson, Staff Sgt. Gunter Marsh Wolfram; granddaughter-in-law, Kristie Wolfram; great-grandchildren, Gaven and Vincent of Fort Huachuca, Ariz.; grandson, Peter Marsh Wolfram of Camden, S.C.; and granddaughter, Sarah Eliza Zamani of Schenectady.
Many thanks to Englewood East Church of Christ and her friends in Englewood who took her to church there and cared for her. The family also extends their appreciation to the staff of Kingsway Nursing Center and Ingersoll Place for their excellent care of Inga.
A celebration of Inga’s life will be held at a later date at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Landis Arboretum, P.O. Box 186, Esperance, NY 12066; or to the Schenectady County SPCA, P.O. Box 9516, Niskayuna, NY 12309, or online at www.countyspca.org.
