Mark Poremba, 63, of Southampton, N.Y., and Englewood, Fla., died Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013.

He was born Sept. 15, 1949, to Alan and Edna Poremba.

Mark married Anita Bishop in 1968, and they had 32 years together and raised three sons, Jay, Mark and Jason. He graduated from Southampton High School in 1967. Mark had many interests, but he most loved the brotherhood of the Southampton Fire Department, serving as a volunteer member for 35 years, as captain of the Fire Police, a member of the Agawam Hose Company, and finally the Engine Company. Mark was a member of Rotonda Golf Club, and was a volunteer at Englewood United Methodist Church and for Meals on Wheels.

He is survived by his brother, Michael; sons, Jay, Mark and Jason; and six grandchildren, Johanna, John, Michael, Christopher, Alex and Elie. Mark was preceded in death by his brother, Don.

Firematic services were held Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, at Brockett Funeral Home in Southampton, followed by a funeral service Friday, Jan. 11, 2013, at First Presbyterian Church. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at the outdoor pavilion of Englewood United Methodist Church, 700 E. Dearborn St., Englewood, FL 34223.
