Betty Jean Loyd

Betty Jean Loyd, 91, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Thursday, Feb. 7, 2013.

She was born June 11, 1921, in Broken Arrow, Okla., and came to this area in 1990 from Yuma, Ariz.

Betty is survived by her son, Bill of Truchas, N.M.; daughter, Barbara Ann Norman of Fairview, N.C.; sister-in-law, Margaret Nelson of Elizabeth, Colo.; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 12, 2013, at Lemon Bay Funeral Home in Englewood. Inurnment will be at a later date at Gulf Pines Memorial Park in Englewood. You may express your condolences to the family at www.lemonbayfh.com. Memorial donations may be made to your favorite charity.

Arrangements are by Lemon Bay Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Englewood.

To the family of Betty Loyd, I want to express my feelings of sadness to hear that Betty passed away. She will be missed by many in the neighborhood. I talked with her on the phone just a day or two before she died and didn't know that she hadn't been well. May you find comfort in knowing that your loved one is now in the care of our loving God.
