Lucille R. “Lucy” Morman, 90, of Rotonda West, Fla., passed away peacefully Tuesday, Sept. 17, 2013, at her home.
She was born Jan. 16, 1923, in a rural area near Pandora, Ohio, and moved to Florida in 1985, from Auburn, Ind.
Prior to retirement, Lucille was self-employed specializing in custom fabric window treatments. She was a life member of the Auburn Cord Duesenberg Museum of Auburn, and of the BPO Elks Lodge 2378 of Englewood, Fla. Lucy was a member of the Saint Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Grove City, Fla., and the parish’s women’s Guild. In her retirement years she enjoyed bridge and other card games and cherished good times with friends and family.
Lucille is survived by her loving husband of 69 years, Victor; two daughters, Victoria (Robert) Brown of Pinehurst, Texas, and Joyce Morman of Lancaster, Pa.; sister, Delores German of Rotonda West; grandchildren, Brian Brown and Elizabeth Sneller; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Albert, and Agatha Karhoff; and three siblings.
Funeral services will be conducted at St. Francis of Assisi Church at 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2013. Burial will be at Sarasota National Cemetery, Sarasota Fla., at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 27, 2013.
