Mark K. Nichols, 53, died peacefully and unexpectedly Tuesday, Oct. 1, 2013, at his home in Englewood, Fla.
Born July 8, 1960, in Buffalo, N.Y., he is the son of Marjorie A. (nee Kelkenberg) Nichols and Kenneth L. Nichols.
Mark was a graduate of Williamsville North High School, and was employed as a truck driver for Spirit Miller. He loved to drive and put on millions of miles throughout his career. Through his occupation he was able to maintain his friendships and see relatives throughout the country. Mark loved animals and rescued many dogs throughout his lifetime. He also loved riding his Harley and watching NASCAR.
Mark is survived by his wife, Csilla; son, Kyle; sister, Barbara of Salisbury, N.C.; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews in Clarence Center, N.Y., and Englewood; and his lifetime best friends, Jimmy and Chereece Wetzler, Jeff Wetzler and Laurie Wetzler. In addition, he will be missed by many friends in Englewood.
A Memorial Service will be held at 5 p.m. today, Saturday, Oct. 5, 2013, at Lemon Bay Funeral Home in Englewood. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Suncoast Humane Society, 6781 San Casa Drive, Englewood, FL 34224, to help care for the animals that Mark so loved.
