Beverly Ann Hess, 69, of Englewood, Fla., passed away Friday, Oct. 4, 2013, at her Charlotte County, Fla., residence, surrounded by her loving family, after a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 24, 1943, in Red Bank, N.J.
Mrs. Hess had been a resident of Englewood for 26 years, coming from Tolland, Conn. A loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker for her family, she was a devoted Christian.
She is survived by her dear husband of 23 years, Arthur R. Hess; daughter, Heather (Andrew) Chaves-McCaslin; four grandchildren, Tyler, Corey, Kyle and Lindsay McCaslin; six brothers-in-law, Noble, George, Kenneth, Paul, Joe and Mike Hess; two sisters-in-law, Kathy Duks and Seydall Hartman; and two stepdaughters, Tracy and Lori Hess. A lover of animals, Mrs. Hess also leaves three dogs, Jack, Jill and Beignet; and one bird, Stormy. She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Beulah (nee Snyder) Behr; brother, Robert Behr; her stepfather, Samuel Springard; in-laws, George and Hazel Hess; and brother-in-law, Robert Hess.
