ENGLEWOOD — A woman was charged with battery after she hit a man with a broom handle and grill fork while he was watching a football game, according to the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office.
Teresa Lyn Miller, 46, of the 1200 block of Shore View Drive, Englewood, became extremely upset after the victim said he was $25 dollars short on rent money, the report states. According to the report, the victim was bleeding from his forearm due to a scrape from Miller. Miller told deputies that she reacted in the manner she did because the victim called her an obscene name. She was released on a $1,500 bond.
