PUNTA GORDA — Mallory Burton scored 30 en route to the 1,000th point of her career and Charlotte High School rallied after losing a 13-point lead to beat Venice on Tuesday, 47-41 in a District 7A-11 matchup.

The Tarpons senior scored her 1,000th point midway through the third quarter on a hook shot in the paint as Charlotte took a 36-23 lead.
