Rev. Reggie Palmer, 57, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, in Lakeland.

Born March 4, 1955, in Bartow, he was the son of the late Walden and Frances Marie Palmer.

Mr. Palmer was a lifelong resident of Bartow. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army.

Mr. Palmer was the Senior Pastor at the Christian Home Freewill Baptist Church for many years.

Along with his parents, Mr. Palmer is preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Martin and two great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Beth Palmer, of Bartow, two sons, Charles “Jr.” Palmer (Shelly) of Fort Meade, Bruce Palmer (Melissa) of Bartow; two daughters, Elizabeth Palmer Redmond (Bobby) of Bartow, and Carol Martin (Clint) of Bartow. He also leaves behind four sisters; Lois Loyd, Frances Hoskins, Teresa Hall, Stephanie Franklin, brother; Randy Palmer all of Bartow, 26 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Friday, Dec. 7 from 5-9 p.m. at the Christian Home Free Will Baptist Church in Bartow.

Services will follow Saturday, Dec. 8 at 10 a.m. at the church.
