Who is Chip Thullbery? What was he like to work with? No matter who was asked at Thullbery’s retirement luncheon held Thursday, Nov. 29, the answer was always the same.
“He never gets riled, and he’s a wealth of knowledge,” said Donna Roberson, from the State Attorney’s Human Resource department, who worked with Thullbery for 15 years. Like many who were asked, Roberson’s replies were in the present tense, as if Thullbery was not going to retire. She joked she had attempted to persuade him otherwise. “I tried to talk him out of retiring. It didn’t work.”
