Four days of activities in Avon Park will celebrate the memory of Dr. Martin Luther King this weekend. The schedule will open Friday evening and conclude Monday.

“In times like these, we could all use a little peace and hope,” said Gerald Snell, Southside District Chairman of the Avon Park Community Redevelopment Agency. “We hope to bring together families, communities, churches, blacks, whites, Hispanics and all other races for our cause, which is the greater purpose of peace.”
