Blueberry archaeologist to speak at South Florida State College
The Kissimmee Valley Archaeological and Historical Conservancy will sponsor a presentation Thursday by Dr. David Butler, principle investigator at the Blueberry site in Highlands County. The talk will be at 7 p.m., in Building G, Room 101, on the South Florida State College Highlands Campus at Avon Park. The public is invited at no cost.
Dr. Butler will present an overview of current research and focus on his work at the Blueberry site since 2005. His presentation will highlight the significant accomplishments of the Phase I Cultural Resource Assessment (2005-2008) on file with the Bureau of Archaeological Research in Tallahassee and the ongoing Phase II Cultural Resource Assessment.
