The sanctuary at First Presbyterian Church was filled to overflowing Sunday for a performance by Elisabeth Von Trapp.
The sound of music emanated from First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid when Elisabeth von Trapp performed to a full house Sunday evening. The event was part of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid’s Suite Series.
Von Trapp started her performance with a Robert Frost poem that she put to music and later in the program performed another of his poems set to music. Those were “The Road Not Taken” and “Acquainted With the Night.” In the spring of 2001 she was granted permission from Frost’s publisher, Henry Holt & Co., for five poems to be put to music.
