We have about 30 people going on the January Bahama Cruise, and the next meeting of the Placid Lakes Social Circle will be on Dec. 4 in the Placid Lakes Town Hall at 6:30 p.m. to go over final plans for the cruise. The “gang” will be joining the Lake Placid Ballroom Dancers on Dec. 15 for a “White Christmas Dance Party.” Part of the admission is to bring an unwrapped new toy for the Manna Ministries who will see that the needy children of Lake Placid have a new toy for Christmas.

Our Friday Crochet Club, under the direction of Ashley, is making warm hats for a homeless shelter in St. Louis. If you have four-ply worsted yarn hanging around — you know, those little left-over hanks you can’t do much with — drop them off at Town Hall and Bonnie will channel them to the ladies.
