Gary Ray Warren, 42, of Lake Placid, died unexpectedly Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012.

Born March 8, 1970, to Sharon and James Warren of Ft. Lauderdale, he was a self-employed auto mechanic. He was very mechanically inclined and had been since his boyhood. He enjoyed mountain biking, auto racing and spent time at Sebring International Raceway. Mr. Warren came to Lake Placid in 2003 from Pompano Beach.

Mr. Warren is survived by his mother, Sharon L. Warren of Lake Placid; siblings Charlene Nikolakakis (Peter) and Dan Warren, both of Lake Placid; nieces, Anastasia, Kimberly, Victoria, and Mollie; a nephew, Dan; and special friend, Sarah Smith.

In celebration of his life, a memorial service for Mr. Warren will be held at a later date at Michael A. Brochetti Funeral Home, Lake Placid. Call 863-465-9997 for details.
