Dorothy M. Kresge, 86, of Sebring died Sunday evening, Jan. 20, 2013.

Born Dec. 24, 1926, in Perkasie, Pa. to Amelia (Dise) and Harvey Kramer, she moved to Lake Placid in 1979 from Pennsylvania and spent the last eight years of her life at the Palms of Sebring where she made many new friends. Mrs. Kresge enjoyed square dancing, camping, the social events at the Palms of Sebring and being with the staff who made her feel at home. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends and was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Placid.

Mrs. Kresge was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Wilson, and daughter Linda Barndt. She is survived by her daughter Cheryl Kresge of Othello, Wash.; two grandchildren, Peter Barndt, LCDR,USN (Margie, LCDR,USN) of Kensington, Md., and Erin Orlando (Mike) of Manassas, Va., four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Grover and Marie Wilt; and two brothers, Harold and Frank Kramer.

Services to celebrate Mrs. Kresge’s life will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday Jan. 25 at the Palms of Sebring with Chaplain Cecil Hess and James Lighty officiating.

Cremation arrangements entrusted with Scott Funeral Home, Lake Placid.
