The Avon Park Middle School Red Devils broke open a game which was tied at intermission with a strong second half, defeating the Lake Placid Middle School boys, 35-27, in a game played here Thursday, Jan. 17.

The Green Dragons led the game, 10-7, after the first half, and were hanging on to a tie, 16 points a piece, at halftime. Unfortunately, the visitors put together a 14-point run in the third quarter and added 13 more in the fourth to pull away from Lake Placid.
