Starting things off with a dominant, 16-5, initial quarter, the Lake Placid Middle School boys’ basketball team rolled to a 45-30 victory over the Hardee Wildcats of Wauchula in a game played here Monday, Jan. 28. The Green Dragons’ opening scoring barrage came as Prentis Legree and Markie McCray, hit three-point baskets, Legree accounting for 5 points and Jayden Callahan and Victor Jackson throwing in 4 points each. McCray would go on to rain down three more trifectas, one in each quarter of the contest.

The halftime score found Lake Placid leading, 22-12, and the count after three was 33-17.
