The Lady Dragon tennis team traveled to Wauchula Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 12, and defeated the Hardee Wildcats, 6-1.

Number one singles player Hannah Waller got things off to a rousing start with a 6-2, 6-2 decision over Ashley Baker. Stephanie Rodriguez, playing in the number two slot, defeated Suzanna Oceguera 6-1, 6-1. Claire LeBlanc won over Caroline Durrance 6-2, 6-2 from the number three position on the Lake Placid ladder. Jenna Blount, the Dragons’ number four singles, battled hard but lost to Madison Burnette 4-6, 6-6 (8-6 tiebreaker), 5-7. Rachel Shattler won her number five match against Katie Smith 6-3, 6-3.
