Now is a good time to register for the Lake Wales Care Center’s 3rd Annual Run Like You Care 5K and 10K Walk/Run. The event is $20 per person to register, and children are free. The 10K will begin at 7:30 a.m., 5k will begin at 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 13, 2013, on the shores of Lake Wailes across from Kiwanis Park. There will be goodie bags and T-shirts for all participants. Kids activities include bouncy houses, music and games. The Kids Fun Run will begin around 9:45 a.m. Registration begins at 7 a.m. Awards will be given to the top 3 finishers in each division. To guarantee a t-shirt, please pre-register by April 11. Payment can also be made on the day of the race. Proceeds will go to support Lake Wales Care Center’s Meals on Wheels program.
