The streets of Lake Wales were lined with thousands of people waiting to catch the shiny Mardi Gras beads.

Colorful costumes and creative floats were welcomed by the masses of smiling people who turned out under blue skies and perfect weather for the annual Lake Wales Mardi Gras Parade.

The Krew of Hubo made this replica of the Grand Hotel with a message on the back of it. The Grand Hotel is undergoing renovations, albeit time consuming. Updates to the hotel's progress will appear from time to time in The Lake Wales News.

The Mardi Gras floats were each different in keeping with their own theme. Such floats are often a secret, even until the day of the parade.
