Spurlock Joins A-C-T Team

BARTOW (Sept. 16, 2013) – A-C-T Environmental and Infrastructure, Inc., (A-C-T) is pleased to announce that James (Jim) M. Spurlock has joined the firm. Spurlock will serve as operations director for the company’s Southeast Regional Division located in Bartow.

Spurlock who has served in similar positions for several other firms including IT Corporation, CH2 Hill and Pratt & Whitney, holds a master’s degree in Physics/Chemistry from Marshall University and a bachelor’s degree in Applied Physics from Auburn University. He brings more than 15 years of experience as a large group operations director.

A respected professional, Spurlock has proven expertise and knowledge in the areas of financial/ profit and loss management, strategic planning, organizational growth and development, process analysis and design, QA/QC procedures and managing staffing functions, including hiring and work load allocations.

According to A-C-T President, Rob Kincart, “During Jim’s tenure with both IT and CH2, he gained significant senior management and operations experience in the engineering and environmental consulting industry and took advantage of professional development opportunities related to advanced technology and business concepts. That means he has hit the job running for us at A-C-T and our valued customers will be the beneficiaries of his wealth of knowledge and business acumen.”

Spurlock also has a passion for both employee and client relations. He said “I believe that the right people are a company’s most important asset and should be treated as such.
