Virginia Griner Bronson, 73 of Lake Wales passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2013, at her residence.

She was born April 9, 1940, in Dothan, Ala., to the late Thomas and Dora Lee (Davis) Baker and has been a resident of the area since 1987 after moving here from Baltimore, Md. Ginny was a retired Boxing Line Worker for Washington Mills Ceramics, a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She enjoyed crocheting works of art and had a green thumb for gardening. Ginny enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a strong supporter of feeding the children, was dearly loved by all who knew her and she will be deeply missed.

Virginia was preceded in death by her first husband, Walter Griner, and second husband Chester G. Bronson, Jr.

Survivors include her son, Walter J. Griner of Marion, Md.; daughters, Melinda L.Griner-Shurig of Galloway, N.J., Cynthia L. Reynolds of Baltimore, Md.; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside service is at 2:30 p.m., Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at Lakeside Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Scott Thompson officiating.
