On Jan. 25, Lake Wales Police responded to the block of Roberta Road in the Whispering Ridge Subdivision in response to a residential burglary and grand theft.

According to reports, on Jan. 25, the victim left his residence secured at 10:30 a.m. and returned at 11:30 a.m. to find his residence had been burglarized. Point of entry was the back screen room and then the back sliding glass door was damaged to gain entry, police note. The house was ransacked, police report. The victim said the only item he noticed missing was his Apple iPhone 4S. A neighborhood canvass was conducted with negative results. The house backs up to Grove Avenue and it appears the suspect(s) were on foot possibly from the Grove Avenue area, according to reports.
