Multi-talented composer, singer and Steinway artist, BK Davis, creates memorable music. What sets Davis apart from other pianists is that he’s listed among the 250 living worldwide international Steinway artists who own, play and record exclusively on Steinway pianos. His ivory/gold-trimmed Concert Grand, Model B, was a gift from his wife Rasheen. “BK put his career on hold when I was undergoing chemotherapy,” she said. Having a concert grand at home, she explained, enabled BK to compose and record original music and be there for her and their two young children, Aallyah and Abraham.

BK, who has traveled the world and speaks five languages, began writing music at the age of 12. After serving in the U.S. Army he continued his musical studies at Western Illinois University. In his 20s he created jingles for commercials and experienced great success composing and recording original songs on his own label. “Music led me in different directions,” he said. An accomplished vocalist, guitarist, organist and drummer, BK has led gospel choirs, jazz bands, and performed as a guest artist on a number of recordings. A great admirer of Leonard Bernstein and Henry Mancini, BK has entertained audiences in the U.S. and abroad working with Billy Preston, Gerald Albright, B.B. King and Frankie Avalon Jr., to name a few.
