Venice Concert Band’s annual winter concer on Monday, is as much a sign that Snowbird Season is under way as last weekend’s Rotary Art Show and this weekend’s Devereux-Kaiser Antique Car Show (see separate article).

Featuring Rick Louis on trumpet and Mezzo-soprano Sarah Rideout Slight, the winter concert will feature a variety of classical and Broadway music ranging from Haydn and Gershwin to Wagner, whose 200th birthday is being celebrated this year in Germany, especially in Dresden and Leipzig.
