Patton retiring after 35 years with county

SARASOTA COUNTY — Sarasota County Energy Director Gary Patton, the man who initiated several programs that would become the start of energy sustainability in the county, is retiring after 35 years.
“Energy is where we had our biggest problems to resolve and the most money to save, so I tackled that one,” he said.
