North Port EDC has vision for 1,700 jobs
NORTH PORT — After more than a year and a half of working behind closed doors, members of the North Port Economic Development Corporation plan to announce five initiatives they say could generate more than $270 million in new construction and 1,700 new jobs.
According to NPEDC founder Peter Bartolotta, the five talking points for the Jan. 25 by-invitation-only presentation at the North Port Library are: developing a vision for a main street district here, ecotourism, the Warm Mineral Springs Day Spa, development of the west side of North Port and a vision for the Toledo Blade Boulevard corridor.
