After years of free-falling home prices, compounded by a glut of inventory, it appears the pendulum has begun to swing in favor of homeowners across Southwest Florida.

According to housing reports released Thursday by federal, state and local Realtor associations, single-family home prices saw big gains in January, with some markets seeing more than a
27 percent increase over last year’s prices.
