Harry W. Porch

Harry W. Porch, 85, of North Port, Fla., and formerly of Brunswick, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, Dec. 31, 2012.

He was the son of William and Lois (nee Greer) Porch, born May 20, 1927, in Mount Pleasant, Pa.

Harry served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was a machinist for United Manufacturing, and a fireman with the Brunswick Volunteer Fire Department. Harry was a member of South Biscayne Baptist Church in North Port. He enjoyed assembling model cars and model trains, and using them in his Christmas display.

Harry will be greatly missed by his wife of 62 years, Mary Jo; daughter, Patti (Daryl) Drake of North Port; sons, Jack (Kimberly) Porch of Anchorage, Alaska, William S. Porch of Brunswick, and Timothy J. (Tammi) Porch of North Port; sister, Sally J. Kozma of Sebring, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, David William.

MaryJo and family, we were very deeply sorrowed by the passing of "Bill"...Our thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. He was one of our favorites here at NuEar "State of the Art Hearing Center." Now he is at peace with the Lord. God Bless
