Everett L. St. George

Everett L. St. George, 89, of North Port, Fla., passed away Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013.

He was born April 18, 1923, in Worcester, Mass.

Everett visited Harbor Cove from Woonsocket, R.I., since 1988, moving here permanently in 2003. He was a U.S. Army World War II Veteran; a 62-year member of American Legion Post 3, where he served as Post Commander; and a 60-year member of the Knights of Columbus, where he served as a Past Grand Knight and a 4th Degree member. Everett was also a communicant at San Pedro Church in North Port.

Everett leaves behind his loving wife of 65 years, C. Dolores “Dolly” St. George; a son, Robert (Lisa) of North Kingstown, R.I.; a daughter-in-law, Freda St. George of Woonsocket; granddaughters, Leslie Anne St. George of Woonsocket, and Jenny Lynn (nee St. George) Pacilio of Pawtucket, R.I.; grandson, Jeffrey R. (Bree) St. George of Attleboro, Mass.; special daughter, Lu Poitras; special grandchildren, Kristen Hall and Jenny Laughlin; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces. He was preceded in death by a son, Richard St. George.

Visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday, Feb. 8, 2013, at Farley Funeral Home in North Port. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 9, 2013, at San Pedro Catholic Church. Burial will be held at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, R.I., at a later date.
