Report: Man stabs roommate over noise
NORTH PORT — A 31-year-old North Port man was arrested in West Virginia Tuesday afternoon on charges he stabbed his roommate in October over noise.
According to a North Port Police Department report, in the early morning hours of Oct. 12, the 31-year-old victim was lifting weights at his home in the 8000 block of Cristobal Avenue, when he dropped the weights, making a loud noise. The victim was then confronted by his roommate, Mark Anthony Stiner, about the noise and an argument ensued. The report states Stiner left the room and returned with a knife, stabbing the victim from his chest area to his lower abdomen before fleeing the home. The victim was airlifted to Blake Medical Center in Bradenton for treatment. The victim’s girlfriend told police that she saw Stiner holding a knife as he fled and the victim holding his side, bleeding. Stiner’s girlfriend told police she was awakened by the struggle and also saw Stiner run from the home.
