Bulldogs win title on PKs
WAUCHULA — Two referees in neon green shirts led a small parade at Hardee High School Friday night. DeSoto County and Frostproof’s boys soccer teams stood at midfield and watched them lead keepers Edgar Olvera and Eddie Gonzalez to the goals.
DeSoto Couty’s Alejandro Vargas was next, walking 10 yards behind the goalies. He would take the first of 10 penalty kicks to decide the District 2A-10 championship.
