AVON PARK — There is still more basketball for DeSoto County High School to look forward to next week, but it will have to lick a few wounds in preparation for regional playoff action.

The Bulldog lost a chance to avenge a district final loss last year to Avon Park, falling to the Bulldogs 56-51 on Friday night in the District 4A-10 final.
