The Haines City Parks and Recreation Department plans a 5K run/walk on Oct. 13, followed by its annual Wellness Expo. Registration for the run/walk starts at 7 a.m., and the run/walk will begin at 7:30 a.m. The Wellness Expo begins 9 a.m. directly after the run/walk and lasts until noon.

Both events will be held at the Lake Eva Banquet Hall, 799 Johns Ave., Haines City. The expo is seeking vendors for the Wellness Expo. The cost is $25 for a space. The public is invited for free health screenings and information pertaining to health and wellness.
