Winter Haven Hospital’s Center for Diabetes Education will offer health screenings, lectures and other demonstrations to teach Polk County residents about diabetes which is the seventh leading cause of death in the United States.

The event is scheduled at the Winter Haven Hospital Wellness Center from 8 a.m.-noon Saturday, Nov. 17. The Wellness Center is just off the hospital’s first-floor Grande Lobby.
