Polk residents learn about getting healthy

This activity was part of a three-year grant where Polk seeks to get healthier and lose weight. A second one is planned on March 16 in Munn Park in Lakeland.
There was an obstacle course, laser tag, human hamster balls, Wii games and Hula Hoops to help give Polk County residents ideas in how to get healthier and in better shape Saturday.
Oh, and there were blood pressure checks, dental checks and tables set up to show people where in Polk County a person can get into shape and how to be healthier.
