Voter-fraud query hits home
PUNTA GORDA — The Charlotte County Supervisor of Elections has sent copies of 101 voter registration forms to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement for investigation, as a state probe into allegations that a GOP consultant committed voter-registration fraud widened this week.
Some of the forms gathered by the firm Strategic Allied Consultants contain questionable signatures, birth dates or voter-identification information, but Supervisor of Elections Paul Stamoulis said he has reached no conclusion about whether they indicate fraud.
