The number of foreclosure filings in Charlotte County dipped significantly between August and September, but those figures remain relatively static when ­examined year over year, according to numbers from the Charlotte County Clerk of Courts.

September saw 134 foreclosures filed in Charlotte County, down from 214 for August. In September 2011, 136 foreclosures were filed, and 140 foreclosures were filed in August 2011.
