NORTH PORT — Despite City Attorney Rob Robinson saying it wasn’t a big deal that the summary on the November ballot didn’t match exactly with the verbiage on the summary ballot mailed to residents, North Port Mayor Linda Yates wants to bring the issue back to commissioners for discussion Monday.

At the Nov. 26 meeting, Yates voiced concerns about the validity of the five city charter questions voted on in the Nov. 6 election, since it wasn’t advertised properly. Commis-sioners agreed to ask a judge if the election will stand, since the city didn’t follow protocol, or if it would be void. Yates also wanted to address the language on the ballot at the same time.
