In a recent article, we reviewed the Code Enforcement Board for the City of Punta Gorda. We looked at the makeup of the actual board, how many code officers the city provides and their area of responsibility. We also reviewed the process that takes place from the time a potential violation is either brought to officers’ attention or is discovered while they patrol their areas of responsibilities.
Charlotte County’s board is known as the Code Enforcement Board. It is governed by laws and ordinances established by the Charlotte County Commission. In this installment we will look at their code compliance operation.
