Nicholas Pontero

Nicholas Pontero of Punta Gorda, FL born in Utica, NY,on January 31, 1937. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He served his country and his family in many ways. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s but held on for many years for his family, but he was tired and worn down from fighting the disease and so, “ God looked around his garden and found an empty place, he looked upon the earth and saw his tired face. He put his arms around him and lifted him to rest. God ‘s Garden is the most beautifull because he only takes the best. It broke our hearts to loose him, but he did not go alone. He took a part of all our hearts the day God called him home.

Predeceased, by; Carmen and Francis Pontero, brothers Carmen Jr. and Roland Pontero. Survived by his adoring wife, Dorothy, her sister Janet,brother-in-law Frank, and many nieces and nephews, son; Nicholas Jr. and Linda Pontero,son; Steven Pontero and Patricia Perkins, grandchildren Jamie and Brandon, Jason, Brittney, Kristen and Kristopher, great-grandchildren; Ariana and Laney.

“Dear gripa I came to see you today, but now I know that you are in heaven. I miss you and love you. Love Ariana” words from an angel on earth. Peace be with you all.
