Roger W. Fenneman

Roger W. Fenneman, 78, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Sunday, Dec. 2, 2012.

He was born July 3, 1934, in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Garland and Norma (nee Carr) Fenneman.

Roger served in the U.S. Air Force as a Captain for 11 years, then worked as a pilot for TWA, retiring in 1992. He was a race coordinator with the U.S. Auto Club with the Indy 500, and assistant to the air boss with the Punta Gorda Air Show, but his passion and love for 12 1/2 years, was as volunteer coordinator for the Punta Gorda Police Department.

Roger will be greatly missed by his wife of 29 years, Diane; daughter, Shari Ann Shinn of Bemidi, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Laurie of Stocken, N.J.; step-sons, Michael Lewis of Dexter, Mich., Keith (Antonella) Lewis-Wood of Ridge, N.J., and Greg (Terri) Lewis of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and 12 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, J. Michael.

A memorial service to celebrate Roger’s life will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5, 2012, at Larry Taylor Funeral and Cremation Services. Memorial donations may be made to Tidewell Hospice, Inc.
