William Raymond Heidelberg

William Raymond Heidelberg, 90, of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Monday, Feb. 11, 2013, at Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte, Fla.

Mr. Heidelberg was born Jan. 26, 1923, in Warren, Ohio, to William H. and Marie B. (nee Jones) Heidelberg, and moved to this area 31 years ago from Champion, Ohio.

He worked as an electrician for an auto manufacturer, and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Heidelberg was a member of San Antonio Catholic Church in Port Charlotte.

Mr. Heidelberg is survived by his wife, Patricia (nee Dougherty) Heidelberg of Punta Gorda; sons, William Robert Heidelberg of Port Charlotte, and Dr. David R. (Susan) Heidelberg of Norwalk, Ohio; daughter, Mary Ellen (James) Bogos of Champion; cousin, Raymond Heidelberg of Chaparral, N.M.; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Inurnment will be after the Mass at 8 a.m. Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, at the San Antonio Catholic Church Memorial Garden in Port Charlotte. Please visit William’s tribute wall at www.schelmfh.com to share memories and to send condolences to the Heidelberg family.
