June Davis

June Davis, 90, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Monday, March 11, 2013, in Port Charlotte.

She was born May 26, 1922, in Alliance, Ohio, to Lawrence Brick and Lydia Perdue.

June has been a resident of Port Charlotte since 1984, moving from Ohio. She was a secretary at The Depot in Columbus, Ohio. June was active in the Merry Makers at Maple Leaf Estates, and a volunteer with crafts at the Cultural Center of Charlotte County in Port Charlotte. She and her husband had a needle-punch business at the flea market for many years.

Survivors include her daughter, Penny Kelly of Port Charlotte; two grandchildren, Kym Wall of Sarasota, Fla., and Kevin Kelly of San Francisco, Calif.; and two great-grandchildren, Amber Morris of Virginia, and Jeremy Wall of Sarasota. June was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Davis, in 2001.

A private memorial service will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Saturday, March 16, 2013, at her residence, 2100 Kings Highway, Unit 962, Maple Leaf Estates. Please visit the online tribute for June Davis at www.kays-ponger.com.
