Ruth Ann (nee Fiedler) Christianson, 80, of Kirksville, Mo., formerly of Punta Gorda, Fla., passed away Tuesday, March 12, 2013.

The daughter of Gilbert and Gladys (nee Gross) Fiedler, she was born Sept. 1, 1932, in West Allis, Wis.

Ruth was united in marriage to Willard “Bill” Christianson, for 54 years. The family started in East Troy, Wis., and enjoyed several years in Carrolton, Ga. Ruth and Bill moved to Punta Gorda Isles, in 1986. Ruth was an active Florida realtor since 1989. She also enjoyed golf, gardening and her swimming pool.

Ruth is survived by two sons, Willard G. and Rob E. (Cheryl) Christianson; granddaughter, Katie Christianson; sister, LaVerne Sanblom; two nephews, Gregg (Chris) Darton and Garth (Lisa) Darton, and Joanne Christianson; as well as other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, in November of 2004.

Private services will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. Memorials may be mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
