Erva “Dolly” Long, 84, of Port Charlotte, Fla., passed away Friday, March 15, 2013.

She was the daughter of Peter and Erva Smith, born June 10, 1928, in Wall, Pa.

Dolly moved from Monroeville, Pa., to this area in 1998, and was a member of Pilgrim United Church of Christ. She enjoyed being a housewife and a mother, and the company of her cats.

Dolly will be greatly missed by her sons, Jim of Port Charlotte, and Bruce (Michele) of Brandon, Fla.; nine grandchildren; and 18 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, J. Robert “Bob,” in 2004.
