EASTERN CHARLOTTE COUNTY — A Charlotte County Sheriff’s agricultural deputy and two state wildlife officers on a rural stakeout arrested a man and two teenagers Thursday after they broke down a fence in order to ride their ATV on the Babcock Ranch Preserve in the middle of the night, according to a sheriff’s report.

Those arrested were Mark Allan Erickson, 48, of the 47600 block of Bermont Road, Punta Gorda; Cody Michael Gordon, 19, of the 7900 block of Estates Drive, North Port; and a 15-year-old boy who resides at Erickson’s address. The boy’s name is being withheld by the Sun due to his age.
